Career
Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a second-year Sociology student here at Bath, fascinated by criminal sociology and the study of why people make the choices they do. Long term, I’d love to use what I’ve learned in a career where I can work closely with people — whether that’s in HR, communications, or another role where I can support and connect with others. Right now, I’m exploring placement opportunities for my third year, and I’m really excited to put what I’ve been enjoying in my studies into practice while developing skills for the future!
I joined the Careers team because I genuinely enjoy meeting new people and learning about their goals. I know CV writing and applications can sometimes feel stressful, so I’m passionate about creating a supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing worries, or just talking things through. My hope is to make the process feel less overwhelming and a lot more exciting!
In my spare time, I’m a bit of a hobby enthusiast! I love crocheting, reading and painting, and when I’m not making something, I’ll often be watching football and cheering on my local team, West Ham. I also enjoy exploring new places and discovering different cultures, whether that’s through travel or by learning new languages (currently Spanish!).
