Role
Dr Randolf Cooper was appointed to the role of Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 5 December 2022.
His role has responsibility for key corporate functions, including:
- Campus Infrastructure
- Campus Services
- Climate Action
- Digital
- Education & Student Services
- Marketing
- Sports
The COO is part of the University’s Executive Board.
Career
Dr Cooper has worked as a professional interim executive in numerous UK higher education institutions, including the University of Plymouth, the University of Dundee and King’s College London. These assignments have included leading campus infrastructure and digital services projects.
His knowledge of operations management is underpinned by twenty-one years of experience in business and industry spanning England, Canada, and the USA.
