Role
Jessica provides expert advice and support for the University’s strategic international research partnerships portfolio and international networks and alliances. In her role, she manages network-building activities for collaborative research, staff mobility, and distinguished visiting professorships.
Key responsibilities include:
Development of strategic partnerships, networks and alliances overseas.
Management of the Bath Global Chair programme and the FAPESP funding scheme.
Management of Bath's engagement with the UK Singapore Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Support for the internationalisation of doctoral training.
Career
Jessica has built over ten years experience in the international education sector. After being inspired by her year abroad at the University of Alabama during her undergraduate degree, Jessica started her career teaching at an international school in Hong Kong before moving back to the UK to work in a business and partnership development capacity for an international summer school and then a Chinese education consultancy in London. Jessica joined the university in 2019 as a Placements Officer assisting and supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students to secure professional placements as well as managing the study abroad programme for Economics students before moving into the International Relations Office.
Education
Jessica holds an MA in International Higher Education Management from the University of Bath and a BA in American History and Politics from the University of Leicester. Jessica is also a qualified Prince2 Project Management Practitioner and qualified CELTA teacher.
