Ieva Lākute International Partnerships Officer (Operations)

Ieva supports the IRO through partnership operations and administration, driving process improvements and contributing to the establishment of a new CRM system.

Role

Working closely with professional services and academic colleagues, as well as external organisations, Ieva plays a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of international partnership projects and operations.

Her responsibilities include:

  • conducting due diligence for new partnership proposals to support informed strategic decision-making;
  • streamlining processes across the team to improve efficiency and service delivery;
  • leading digital innovation projects, including automated workflows and the implementation of a new CRM system.

Career

Prior to joining the University of Bath in 2026, Ieva worked in the private sector as Lead Content Marketer for a global tech company, managing complex marketing projects while developing processes to maximise output and efficiency. Her previous experience includes roles in student recruitment and international relations at two higher education institutions in Bath and London, where she supported international partnerships work and CRM implementation projects.

Education

Ieva graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Creative Writing, followed by an MA in Creative Writing. Passionate about literature and cross-cultural collaboration, she has also completed a number of literary and theatre translation programmes, translating two Latvian novels into English and a Latvian play that was performed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and as part of the International Voices Project in Chicago.
