Daisy Zhu Languages Course Leader

Role
Daisy is a Languages Course Leader at the Skills Centre. She has taught in UK universities for close to 20 years, and she speaks English, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
Daisy believes strongly that every individual has the capability to reach the goals they set for themselves, and that real change starts with self-awareness and small, consistent steps. Daisy is currently working towards the ILM Level 5 coaching qualification. She hopes to make coaching accessible and inspiring by creating a safe and supportive space for reflection, growth, and positive change.

Career
Daisy has been a university teacher for most of her career. She believes in empowering learners to connect across cultures with confidence and purpose. Daisy is dedicated to advancing employability and intercultural competence through language learning. She collaborates with colleagues to design diverse, inclusive courses that prepare students for a global workplace. She also leads cultural initiatives and events that celebrate linguistic diversity and foster international collaboration.
