Ollie Thomasson Lecturer (Teaching) in Business Analytics, School of Management
Menopause Champion
Role
I have been at the university since 2016, first as a PhD student, and now as a Lecturer on the teaching track, delivering analytics, data science, and operational research to undergraduate and masters students.
Why I became a menopause champion
I believe learning about experiences other than my own will always have a positive impact on my life, and my relationships with friends/family/colleagues. When the menopause champion training became available, I realised I had no real knowledge of menopause, and wanted to learn more in order to better support those around me. To the role I think I bring compassion, open ears, and a willingness to advocate for those who feel uncomfortable advocating for themselves.
