Fiona Watson Pre-Award Support Officer
Fiona is responsible for support and improvement of funding application processes and systems for the submission of research proposals and award acceptance.
Role
Fiona contributes to the effective and efficient support of the Pre-Award service at Bath. Her responsibilities include:
- providing core systems support for the main Pre-Award costing system, PAM
- acting as the point of contact for all systems training and user needs for research support systems, including PAM
- supporting processes that relate to research application activity such as due diligence and compliance and equipment support
- implementing strategies and procedures for service delivery of working practices
- providing administrative support to the Pre-Award team
Fiona works closely with the Pre-Award Development Officers, Due Diligence and Compliance Manager and Head of Research Funding.
Career
Following University Fiona worked in software design, development and support for a number of different commercial companies. More recently she worked in a secondary education college in a Science teaching support role.
Education
Fiona has a BSc in Applied Biology from the University of Bath.
