Research

Professor Momna Hejmadi is a molecular biologist and bioscience educator, with expertise spanning cancer and neurobiology and higher education pedagogy. Her biomedical research includes hypoxia signalling, mechanisms of cell death and neuroprotection, and the development and commercialisation of the bioreductive drug AQ4N for adjuvant cancer therapy. Her education research focuses on evidence-led approaches to teaching evolution and genetics, environmental education, and technology-enhanced learning and curriculum design in higher education.
