Emma leads the Assessments Team within the Faculty of Engineering and Design, where she champions a coaching-led approach to team development and performance. With a strong commitment to staff development and career progression, Emma fosters an environment that empowers individuals to build confident, capable teams.
Emma’s leadership style is rooted in cultivating psychological safety, encouraging open dialogue around challenges, and supporting collaborative problem-solving. Emma is passionate about developing skillsets, celebrating achievements, and enabling clarity in roles and processes to engineer meaningful and constructive change. With over 25 years’ experience of working in Higher Education, Emma currently leads the Assessments Team in the Faculty of Engineering & Design, overseeing student assessments, academic regulations, and support for taught programmes. Emma is committed to empowering confident leadership, developing staff potential, and navigating emergent change in dynamic environments through a coaching-led approach.
