Sarah Hearn Research Governance Manager
Responsible for supporting research governance and compliance, specifically in health and social care.
Role
Sarah is responsible for:
- Providing support and guidance to staff and students carrying out research in health and social care.
- Supporting and monitoring clinical research studies.
- Providing advice and guidance in line with the UK Framework for Health and Social Care Research.
- Reviewing research ethics applications and overseeing project compliance for Sponsored and Biomedical studies.
- Secretary to the Biomedical Research Ethics and External & Sponsorship Committees.
Career
Sarah has worked in clinical trial management for most of her career, for the latter decade at Oxford University and NHS Trust overseeing CTIMP and NIHR supported studies.
Education
Her first degree was in Psychology at Durham University, followed by an MSc in Speech Sciences at UCL.
