Career
Before joining University of Bath, Tanushree completed a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, where she led interdisciplinary research on protein phase separation and aggregation relevant to neurodegenerative disease, cancer, and viral infection, and coordinated operations across four research groups comprising over 150 researchers. Her doctoral research produced first-author publications in Nature Communications and Science Advances, and was recognised with the CSAR Award for Applied Research. Alongside her research, Tanushree built a parallel track in science policy, reaching the national final of the DSIT Cambridge Policy Hackathon and a separate national sustainability policy competition evaluated at 10 Downing Street. She has also been active in UK politics, serving as Deputy Chair, and now Chair of the Cambridgeshire, Eastern Region, of a Political Association.
Education
Tanushree holds a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, UK an MSc in Molecular Bioengineering from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany and a BTech in Biotechnology, India.
