I became a Student Employability Coach to help coach fellow students on their career journey, as it can be overwhelming having to write a good CV, LinkedIn profile and networking at the same time as completing your degree. Therefore, I hope to be a friendly face at the Careers centre and make the job application process less confusing and more enjoyable.

I am a final year Computer Science student, and I've just returned from my placement year as a cyber security software engineer. My second year taught me a lot of the theoretical foundations for my placement, ranging from machine learning, cybersecurity, and a yearlong software engineering project. I enjoyed putting what I learnt into practice, and learning about industry standard technologies.

This will be my second year as a Student Employability Coach. But before I even started working at Careers, I did some private tutoring for GCSE psychology and maths. It was a very valuable experience, as I got to connect with my students and provide personalised teaching methods. I loved planning and teaching my lessons, and it made me excited to step into the role of SEC.

Outside of my course, I like to crochet a range of stuff, from scarves, bandanas, blankets and plushies. I also enjoy taking singing lessons and going for long walks around Bath.
