Career
I am a second year Computer Science student. Programming and logical operations are my favourite parts of my course, and I can’t wait to learn more about software engineering and machine learning this year.
Before starting as a Student Employability Coach, I did some private tutoring for GCSE psychology and maths. It was a very valuable experience, as I got to connect with my students and provide personalised teaching methods. I loved planning and teaching my lessons, and it made me excited step into the role of a Student Employability Coach. I also got work experience at a software company in Bath, where I’ve been able to play a key role in the development team and develop my knowledge of the industry.
I wanted to be a Student Employability Coach to be able to gain experience and help fellow students. It can be overwhelming having to write a good CV, LinkedIn profile and networking at the same time as completing your studies. Therefore I hope to be a friendly face at the Careers Centre and make the job application process less confusing and more enjoyable.
Outside of my course, I like to draw and go on early morning swims at the STV. I am also part of ChaOS choir, and I sing in my church choir both while at university and back home in London.
