Project Leader: Dr Melusine Pigeon, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
The University of Bath is currently proposing Climate Fresk, which is a workshop helping to raise awareness about the climate emergency. Those workshops are good but remains too broad for engineering topics like electronic and electrical engineering. As part of our new programme to teach sustainability to our undergraduate programmes, we would like to propose a similar workshop which is focused on electronic waste, the electronic fresk or E-fresk. This fresk is currently developed by a small team in France and we would like to use the TDF to bring this fresk to the University of Bath. It will include translating the Fresk (currently in French) and training our staff to be able to run it for our students. We will be autonomous after the first training received, making is a sustainable teaching development for the department.
To evaluate the success of the project and ensure it has achieved its aims and intended outcomes, we will employ both qualitative and quantitative methods. These include participant feedback, attendance tracking, and the assessment of student-led activities and engagement.
Report and finding due Spring 2026
