This project, which was awarded funding by the Teaching Development Fund (TDF) Seed, aims to establish if students feel using Anatomy TV helps them achieve the learning outcomes of their units and ascertain what features of an online resource students consider important. To explore whether the self-assessment quizzes are beneficial to student learning.

The project seeks to explore online teaching resources for effective teaching of anatomy. To establish if Anatomy TV (https://www.anatomy.tv/titles) is an effective and accessible tool to learn the anatomical and functional characteristics of the body. Through consultation with students we seek to understand why the current resource is not widely used and through workshops and focus groups we will explore whether there are other alternative platforms available that offer better functionality and improved learning of the structure and features of key systems such as the neuro-musculo-skeletal system.

Dr Elena Seminati, Dr Adam Brazil, Dr Polly McGuigan and Dr Jo Reeves reported back on this project in Autumn 2023
