In the summer of 2022, Council commissioned consultants Elizabeth Mohr and Keith Leslie to conduct an external review of its effectiveness. We are grateful to everyone within the University community who gave so generously of their time to assist this process.

The review found that Council currently fulfils all formal compliance and governance expectations and successfully provided leadership and assurance through some particularly challenging years. However, it also made some recommendations to help Council shift from fulfilling expectations to "best in class".
