Protocol for the surveying of students

Guidance for staff and students on surveying students when over 250 students are contacted and the sample is taken from more than one Department or School.

Policy

This protocol applies to any survey of students, including surveys carried out for research purposes, to monitor the student experience, or to collect student opinions.

Please follow the protocol if your survey meets both of the following conditions:

  1. Over 250 students are asked to participate in the survey.
  2. The student sample is taken from more than one Department or School.
