Signposting Guidance - Current Additional Considerations Processes

New resources to provide step-by-step guidance and signposting for staff supporting students through circumstances which disrupt their studies and/or assessment

Form

These resources are designed to provide step-by-step guidance and signposting for staff supporting students through circumstances which disrupt their studies and/or assessment.

They will help you to:

  • Consider the key questions you may need to ask/answer

  • Quickly and easily locate sources of information which may be useful

  • Identify the current processes available to support students at Bath based on the nature of the circumstances they're experiencing, and whether these are 'acute' (unexpected, specific, time-limited/recently arising circumstances), or 'chronic' (ongoing/persistent circumstances without a finite end-point).

Process overview diagram

An overall view of the processes is provided through the flow diagram below.

MS Form

This has also been adapted into an MS Form version that some colleagues may find more accessible to navigate. Answering the questions in the form will guide you to the appropriate support options.

Please do not submit your form - this is a guidance resource and responses are not monitored.

Further support

Should you need further support and guidance, it is recommended to consult your Director of Studies/Teaching, Faculty Assistant Registrar and Student Support & Safeguarding teams as relevant.
