The Undergraduate Assessment Regulations (UGAR) applies to ALL undergraduate students from the 2023/24 academic year onwards, including returning/continuing students.

UGAR replaces the New Framework for Assessment: Assessment Regulations: Phase 1 for first-degree programmes (NFAAR-UG). NFAAR-UG regulations will still apply to outstanding academic decision-making from academic year 2022/23.

We have made these changes so that our assessment regulations are easier to read and understand. Credit values have been changed to be inclusive of new unit sizes. While UGAR is different in format and language, the rules that govern progression and award remain the same.
