To manage research ethics associated with projects with a high potential to do harm, four research Committees reporting into the Academic Ethics and Integrity Committee (AEIC) consider research applications with a focus on:

  • data & digital science
  • biomedical sciences
  • social sciences, &
  • externally reviewed (research requiring partner review and sponsorship from the University)

These Committees are multidisciplinary and operate University-wide.

Membership of the Biomedical Sciences Research Ethics Committee is an important position at the University of Bath, and a rare opportunity for a pan-University role supporting best research practice. Comprehensive training and support will be provided.
