Students achieved this award through participation in the British Sign Language course, offered by the Skills Centre in partnership with external provider Signs4Life.

Not only is it a vital life and employability skill, but also a way to make a positive contribution to equality in our community. BSL is essential for approximately 12 million adults in the UK, including many in our University community, who are D/deaf, or have hearing loss. Congratulations to students and staff, and sincere thanks to our tutor, Janet, for facilitating such an excellent course.”
