We are looking to recruit doctoral students to join a new Doctoral Development Facilitator team, here in the Doctoral College.

Doctoral Development Facilitators will play a crucial role facilitating core doctoral developmental events and activities to enhance the learning and development of those undertaking doctoral study. You will facilitate induction activities as well as coordinate routine and infrequent, one-off or annual activities that are designed to support the development of our interdisciplinary doctoral community throughout the year.

The many benefits to becoming a Doctoral Development Facilitator include:

  • Having a role that offers well remunerated flexible hourly-paid work which can fit round other commitments
  • Receiving facilitation training and broadening your skills in communication, leadership and teamwork
  • Becoming part of a team with other Doctoral Development Facilitators
  • The opportunity to work at both online and in-person events

While we recruit on a rolling basis, we hope to recruit the majority of Facilitators in good time before the start of the next academic year ready to help with Research Focus Week so we ask that you please submit your applications by Monday 14th August 2023 at Midday (with a view to interview later that week). After this time, if there are still spaces to fill, we will still review applications or can otherwise keep your application on file to review when a vacancy arises.
