The University of Bath is excited to announce the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shandong University.

It is one of the largest universities in China, with approx. 70,000 students, and in 2017 became one of 147 “Double First Class Universities” bestowed upon it by the Chinese central government.

The International Relations Office, on behalf of the University, hosted a delegation from Shandong University on Tuesday 31st October 2023, during which a signing ceremony took place. In attendance from Shandong were University President, Professor Shucai Li, Director of Department of International Affairs, Dr Fengshou Sun, Director of Personnel Department, Professor Jian Liu, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology Management, Dr Dawei Hu, and Dean of School of Energy and Power Engineering, Professor Gongming Xin. Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education & Global, Professor Julian Chaudhuri, Director of the Centre for Policy Analysis, Dr Theodoros Papadopoulos, and International Partnerships Officer, Sarah Turner, represented the University of Bath.
