The University of Bath is excited to announce the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Macau (UM).
As a leading education provider, the University of Macau holds a QS international faculty ranking of 21.
Under the long-established collaboration taking place between both Universities, the agreement established by Professor Yonghua Song promoted academic research collaboration and information exchange, delegation visits and exchanges. Between 2018 and 2023, a total of 31 joint publications were published including core research areas of Engineering, Energy and Medicine.
The second major collaboration included promoting delegation visits and exchanges to enhance academic collaboration and discussed the opportunity for student mobility and new research collaboration opportunities.
During delegation visits by University of Bath academics in 2018, discussions were held with the department of Civil Engineering, Economics and the Faculty of Science to enhance student mobility from UM Honours College to study at Bath. Further academic collaboration, EMBA student study trips and PGT student exchanges were key topics of future collaboration. Additionally, two visits by UM in 2019 and 2023 identified possible research synergies including clinical psychology, the creation of smart cities, policy research, development studies and social futures of technology.
