We are pleased to announce that two members of the IPR have received a Climate Action badge, awarded last night at an event hosted by the University of Bath Climate Action Team. The event celebrated both staff and students who are at the forefront of taking climate action at the university.

IPR Director of Research Dr Charles Larkin was awarded a badge for his work as part of the Climate Action Research Advisory Group, alongside Dr Annie Snelson-Powell, Professor Antoine Buchard, Professor Chris Budd, Dr Sophia Hatzisavvidou and Professor Tim Mays.

Former IPR intern Kristian Williams, who studies Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath, received a badge in recognition of the significant contributions he made during his internship. This included supporting the IPR Policy Fellowship Programme: Net Zero transport, buildings and infrastructure and running a workshop for policy fellows from the former Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. He continues to be part of the project team for ActNowFilm: youth climate leaders in conversation with climate experts, which has been selected for showcasing at COP28.

Launched in January 2023, Climate Action badges are awarded to individuals and groups within the university and to partners, recognising that to achieve successful climate action, we need a collaborative and inclusive approach.
