Want to effect positive change? Want to increase job satisfaction, knowledge and advancement for your role at the University?

Then we want your input!

As you may have seen on the University home page, the University has approved a programme of work looking at improving the research culture at the University of Bath. As part of this work, we are looking at the work and careers of "Research Enablers".

"Research Enablers" are those who work in research support within the Management Specialist and Administration job family. We want to explore how research enabler careers develop, the support they need, and whether there is more the University can be doing to make this an effective and supportive working environment for these types of roles.

As well as asking research enablers themselves about their careers and needs, we also want to gather data from academic staff about how they access research support, what works well and areas for development.

Surveys

This surveys will give you the opportunity of detailing what you feel works well, what doesn’t, and what improvements you feel could be made. We are excited about this opportunity to improve our working environment – but we can only do that if we have a clear response from as many Research Enablers as possible.

The deadline for survey responses is Thursday 31 March.

Workshops

We are also running four workshops alongside the survey to discuss your views in more detail. Please sign up via this Eventbrite so we know how many to expect.

Book Workshop Tickets.

The programme will culminate in a networking event to be held in person on Thursday 7 April where we hope to share the results and proposed next steps with you.

We are really excited about the possibility of this project, and hope that you will take part. If you have any queries regarding the survey, workshops or the programme of work itself, please do let us know.
