Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place from 13-19 November, is a celebration of enterprise and entrepreneurial people. Here at the University of Bath there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

We will be kicking the week off on Monday 13 November with a teams talk on 'How to Get Your Business Acquired by Big Business' from Thomas Smale, an alumnus of the University of Bath who is Founder and CEO at the global merger and acquisition company, FE International. During the discussion, Thomas will generously share his wisdom and guidance on how to build a business that may one day attract potential buyers.

Immediately following this we have Entrepreneurs’ Insights in the Enterprise Lab, where three Bath-based entrepreneurs will share insights about their journeys so far. Dave Page, a University of Bath alumnus has enjoyed a career as an entrepreneur, founder CEO and Chair; Zoe Jeffery is completing her PhD at the University of Bath and is launching a new clothing brand that seeks to empower teenage girls; and Max Slinger, who trained at the University's Sports Training Village, is a Venture Capital Investor who co-founded a private healthcare start-up. The talks will be followed by a panel discussion with Q&A.

All doctoral students, postdocs, and ECRS, who are passionate about entrepreneurship and research commercialisation, are invited to the ECRs Lunchtime Meetup on Tuesday 14 November. Expect substantial discussions, fireside chats, and the chance to connect with like-minded innovators.

On Wednesday 15 November, the online Ignite+ Bitesize series continues for academic staff. Focussing on IP and commercialisation, the session will provide information on considerations to intellectual property.

Also on Wednesday, Google Digital Garage will be running two sessions on Digital Marketing Strategy and Social Media Strategy. Join us in the Enterprise Lab for exciting and informative workshops where we dive into the world of digital marketing strategy and social media strategy with a special focus on creating videos with YouTube and improving online business security.

Later that day, Enterprise Bath will be running 'Pitch Perfect', also in the Enterprise Lab in the East Building. This will be 'a dynamic and interactive workshop designed to elevate your pitching game!'
