The Honorary Degrees Committee is putting a call out for nominations for three of the University’s highest-profile awards, ahead of their next meeting. Staff and students at the University are encouraged to nominate individuals for the following awards:

Honorary Doctorate Degrees are academic awards celebrating excellence in thought leadership and the resulting impact, in a field that is recognised nationally or internationally.

Honorary Master’s Degrees are academic awards celebrating University staff who have made exceptional and direct contributions to the life of the University community, as perceived by its community.

President's Awards honour individuals who have made an exceptional and sustained contribution to the University, the city of Bath or the region. The award also aims to recognise members of the University community who have had a significant impact on other people’s lives whether locally, nationally or internationally.

The committee particularly welcomes proposals that reflect the cultural diversity and international character of the University and promote its commitments to gender equality.

The deadline for this round of nominations is:

  • Friday 16 February 2024

Further guidance, including nomination criteria and how to make a nomination, can be found on the Honorary Doctorate Degrees, Honorary Master’s Degrees and President's Awards pages of the website.
