Members of the Advancement Office team will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have and explore how we can support your department in achieving its aims.

Gordon Cox, Director of Advancement, says:

Our work in the Advancement Office is as relationship and stakeholder managers, including philanthropy, volunteering and more – the critical nexus that professionally links the outside world to the fabulous things being done in Bath. We tie in with almost every department across the University.

Connecting people

From 1 August 2023, the Department of Development & Alumni Relations is changing its name to the Advancement Office. This rebrand better reflects the work we do to facilitate relationships between the University and its supporters, whether alumni, benefactors, corporate partners or trusts and foundations.

Gordon continues:

We’re excited to welcome staff from across the institution to learn more about our renewed focus on using the power of shared connections, and external relationships— whether they be alumni, friends, corporates or trusts and foundations. We are looking to build a culture of opportunity and raise awareness of the wide-reaching impact our friends, or friends-to-be, can have.
