The University of Bath has been named one of the world’s best places to study subjects including architecture, development studies, and social policy in a new World University Rankings report.

The University has been named one of the top 10 places in the world to study sport-related subjects, for the fourth consecutive year.

The results were revealed in the 2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, published today by global higher education analyst QS Quacquarelli Symonds.

The University of Bath subjects ranked within the global top 100 are:

  • Sport-related subjects (8)

  • Architecture / built environment (51-100)

  • Development studies (51-100)

  • Social policy & administration (51-100)

  • Business & management studies (86)

  • Psychology (96)

The rankings provide independent comparative analysis of more than 16,400 individual university programmes, taken by students at more than 1,500 universities around the world, across 55 academic disciplines and five broad faculty areas.

The annual ranking scores each subject offered at universities through an analysis of metrics, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations and an institution’s international research network.

In the overall QS World University Rankings, Bath is ranked as one of the world’s top 150 universities, and in the top 100 in their Sustainability and Graduate Employability global rankings.
