Join our live MSc Data Science taster lecture on Thursday 30 May at 12:00pm BST (GMT+1) to hear from Dr Harish Tayyar Madabushi and get a taste of our teaching.

His lecture, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence: Machine Learning with Gradient Descent, introduces the very latest in the field of AI, and looks at how it is likely to affect our lives. The session will also explore the underlying mechanism of AI and deep learning that allows computers to learn, as opposed to simply following a set of rules.

The taster lecture will be followed by a Q&A with staff and student ambassadors, who will share their knowledge and experience and answer any questions you have about studying at the University of Bath.
