Jo Hatt Curriculum Development Officer

Jo works within the Curriculum Development team to support the University’s Curriculum Transformation.

Role

Jo joined the Centre for Learning & Teaching in June 2018 to work as a faculty-based curriculum development officer, supporting curriculum transformation. Jo will be working with the Faculty of Engineering & Design and the curriculum transformation theme of employability

Career

Jo has gained knowledge and experience in a variety of professional service roles at three universities in the south-west; Bath Spa, Exeter and Plymouth.

Prior to joining the University of Bath, Jo was Assessment and Administration coordinator at Bath Spa University, with responsibility for the assessment and graduation teams. This included maintaining the student record for all undergraduate and postgraduate taught students at Bath Spa; supporting and advising students and academics on all aspects of assessment, regulations and progression and graduation ceremonies. Jo has been involved with a recent university curriculum review and re-approval of the undergraduate course portfolio.

Jo has experience in university quality assurance (preparing new university policy, periodic reviews, partner reviews, working with UK and international partner institutions, course approval and modifications) and has previously been officer for a number of university committees. Jo has worked with academic and professional services staff to successfully deliver university wide projects and change initiatives.
