Role

Andrew is the Research Strategy Business Partner for the Faculty of Science, working with the Head of Research Development, the Faculty Research Office and Associate Dean for Research. He is based in Research and Innovation Services (RIS) supporting the University’s strategy and ambitions for research. His work includes:

• supporting the delivery of the Faculty’s Research Strategy implementation plans
• scanning research funding for opportunities relevant to the Faculty
• connecting the Faculty with key colleagues in RIS to drive up success rates for grant bidding activity
• embedding peer review of grants and other research activities

Andrew works collaboratively with the Research Development Managers in the team to identify and develop opportunities for research funding.
