Research Software Engineering Facility team

A collaborative, researcher-focussed team that provides computational expertise and dedicated staff resources to research groups across all disciplines.

As a Core Research Facility we are a collegiate team dedicated to supporting computational research activities at the University through collaboration on projects.

With software engineering and research backgrounds we can provide support at various stages of the research grant life-cycle. We can discuss your research proposal to help estimate resources at the pre-award stage, provide dedicated staff resources to collaborate on specific work packages, and help meet open-access requirements of journals and funding bodies.

We work closely with our Research Computing colleagues in DDaT to enable research using High Performance Computing. We will be running computational skills training sessions and are currently onboarding researchers to access Isambard 3 HPC.
