Sustainability and Space team
We facilitate strategic change through the delivery of sustainability, place and space strategic priorities for our University of Bath community.
Our overarching team goal is to develop, coordinate and action targeted plans to deliver the University's sustainability and space commitments and achieve our goals. This is done in order to enable the achievement of the University’s core mission and institutional ambitions.
We work with teams to:
- reduce the environmental impact of our operations
- empower staff and students to make sustainable decisions and choices
- embed sustainability thinking into all policies and aspects of the organisation
- consider how we reduce the environmental impacts of conducting our research
- drive forward sustainability-related learning and teaching activities
- strategically plan our campus spaces and identify opportunities for efficiencies
- determine the best use of space to support the University’s strategic ambitions – academically, operationally and sustainably
We work with a network of Climate Advocates to embed the whole-institution response in departments.
