We have been shocked by the news of the deaths of 39 people found in a trailer in Essex. Members of our community will have been thinking of the people who have died and their loved ones. We offer our deepest sympathies to all those affected.
We are not aware of any links to the University, but nevertheless support is available if you have been affected by these events.
For staff, in addition to your line manager and HR contacts, we have an Employee Assistance Programme which offers additional support to those who may need it. If you are concerned about a student who may have been affected, please call 01225 38 4321.
For students, support is also available through our Student Services drop in sessions on campus or at the Virgil Building, or at the SU’s advice and support centre.
