There are many courses provided by IT Training relating to the Agresso finance system. If you need assistance regarding course bookings please e-mail it-training@bath.ac.uk or telephone extension 6257.

Marketplace (bUmp)
Presentation / Demonstration Sessions
The Agresso project team are running a series of presentation and demonstration sessions, dates and times below. There is no need to book these sessions simply come along on your preferred date.
New Agresso Users should still attend the Agresso Tutor-Led Purchasing Courses.
Self Paced Marketplace Practice Sessions
Course Summary:This session will give you the opportunity to practice entering orders within Marketplace. Please note this is not a formal training session and does not replace the need to attend an Introductory Presentation
Who should attend: Members of staff and postgraduate students who have attended an Introductory presentation but would like the opportunity for hands on practice

Web Expenses Training
Web Expenses Training for Department Administrators
Course Summary:This course will show you how to create an expenses claim within Agresso to reclaim costs necessarily incurred by a member of staff in the course of their duties.
Who should attend: Department administrators who process expense claims on behalf of other members of staff.
Web Expenses Surgeries
Course Summary: These 'drop in' sessions are held each week and enable users to input their expense claim with a member of the helpdesk available to assist with any queiries or difficulties.
Who should attend: Members of staff who need to input expenses claims.
Dates: Surgeries are held each Monday and Thursday between 11.00am and 1.00pm at the BUCS Service Desk on Level 2 of the Library, there is no need to book simply turn up with your claim.
Web Expenses Practice Sessions
Course Summary:This session will give you the opportunity to practice entering expenses claims within the Agresso system.
Who should attend: Members of staff and Postgraduate students who would like the opportunity for hands on practice before entering claims on the live system.
Purchasing Courses
Requisitioning and Goods Receiving
Course Summary: This course will allow you to create a requisition (order) through both Marketplace and Agresso for items or services from both external and Internal suppliers
Who should attend: Members of staff with a regular responsibility for ordering goods or services from internal and external suppliers. This would include department administrators and department finance administrators as well as stores personnel.
***Please note following the introduction of the new catering order site Food Direct, this course has been modified and now takes place in one session rather than the previously advertised two sessions***
Sales Orders (Invoice Request) Courses
Sales Orders(Invoice Request)
Course Summary: This course will show you how to raise invoices for customers and understand the invoice authorisation and production process
Who should attend: Members of staff with a regular responsibility for raising invoices to customers. This would include all department administrators and department finance administrators as well as individuals who administer short courses or conferences.
Reporting Courses
Reporting For Finance Administrators
Course Summary: This course will show you how to access and run both standard Agresso reports and Browser enquiries. You will also be shown how to authorise a journal and follow its status via workflow.
Who should attend: As with all training, it would be helpful if you think about the reasons why you are undertaking the course and what kinds of reports you think you will need. In order to make the course more meaningful for you, you might decide to bring examples of your own project numbers, customers (people who pay you) and suppliers (people you order goods from). If you are not sure then ask a colleague in your department who is already using Agresso.

These courses are taught by members of the Agresso project team
Reporting Workshop
Course Summary: This course will provide guidance on monthly budget monitoring reports. Users will also have the opportunity to work on the LIVE environment and will be encouraged and assisted to develop reports for themselves which will then be available for them to use in the future.
You may attend as many of these sessions as you feel you need. Please note these are not a replacement for the courses above and should only be booked once you have completed the relevant introductory session
Who should attend: To attend this session you must have previously attended the Reporting For Finance Administrators course
Advanced Reporting Workshop
Course Summary: This course will show you some of the advanced features of reporting. Users will also have the opportunity to work on the LIVE environment and will be encouraged and assisted to develop reports for themselves which will then be available for them to use in the future.
Who should attend: This session is only available to those who have already attended at least one standard reporting workshop and have consolidated that knowledge with practice over a number of weeks.
