Booking guest accommodation

We offer accommodation on the University campus or in Bath city centre. Bookings for stays in July and August are now available.

Book an en-suite room in the city centre

Our city centre accommodation is located right in the heart of beautiful Bath, with all the main attractions, shops, restaurants and nightlife just a few minutes walk away.

From £54 a night you'll stay in Green Park House, in a room with a 3/4 double bed and en-suite shower facilities.

All bookings in Green Park House must be for a minimum of two nights if staying over the weekend.

Green Park House does not have car parking. The closest long stay car parks are located a five minute walk away, at Charlotte Street and Avon Street.

Book a single studio in the city centre

If you prefer a little more space and kitchen facilities, book into one of our city centre studio rooms in Green Park House.

From £70 a night you'll have a room with:

  • a 3/4 double bed
  • en-suite shower facilities
  • a kitchenette with basic cooking equipment and utensils provided

Book a self-catered apartment in the city centre

Green Park House also has five and six bedroom apartments available for groups to stay in together. These must be booked for a minimum of two nights.

The apartments all contain small four foot wide 3/4 double beds and a shared kitchen/diner exclusively for your group to use.

Kitchens are equipped with:

  • fridge-freezer
  • microwave
  • oven
  • dining table and chairs
  • basic cooking equipment and utensils

Travel cots are available on request, subject to availability and depending on space.

Occupancy

Apartment bedrooms are designed for single occupancy, which you must not exceed without telling us. We reserve the right to conduct checks.

Book a basic room on campus

The University's Claverton Down campus is located a short bus ride from the city centre.

You can stay in our newest accommodation block, Polden, in one of our basic rooms from £74 a night.

You'll have:

  • a bedroom with a small four foot wide 3/4 double bed
  • en-suite shower facilities
  • a continental breakfast served in the café next door
  • a free car parking permit

Staying on campus does not give you free access to the swimming pool or gym facilities. This needs to be paid for separately at the Sports Training Village.

We have a range of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars on campus. View the opening times here.

Our campus supermarket sells a range of snacks, toiletries and stationery that you may need for your stay.

Towels and toiletries

We provide towels, but no toiletries are supplied in any of our accommodation, make sure you bring your own or visit our campus shop.

Cleaning service

If you are staying in one of our apartments or studios for more than seven days, we will clean your room and provide a linen change.

We will clean the communal areas and remove waste/recycling daily.

University of Bath discounts

  • If you are a member of staff or University of Bath alumni, you can receive a 10% discount when booking a room in our guest accommodation for yourself, a family member or friend.
  • To receive this discount please call our guest accommodation team on 01225 383441 to book directly.
  • Discounts are not available on group accommodation bookings including self-catered group and family accommodation.
  • Discounts are not available on graduation days and bank holidays and are subject to availability during the week (Sunday to Thursday).

No-show policy

If you do not check in on your scheduled day of arrival, or of you cancel after the specified cut off time, we reserve the right to cancel any remaining nights of your booking unless you request otherwise. You will still be charged for the full amount of your stay.

Data protection

The data that you provide will be used for recording your payment and may be used to contact you about your booking. The University is compliant with PCI DSS regulations. We may also ask for your feedback and we will use your responses to improve our service in the future. We will keep all your information secure in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and all other relevant data protection legislation. We will not pass on your information to anyone else. By continuing with your application you consent to us using the information you provide to us as described above.

Accommodation for academic visitors

We have self-catering accommodation for visiting academics on the north side of the Claverton Down campus.

If you are an academic visiting with your family, you can stay in one of the five self-contained residences in Esther Parkin on a short-term basis.

Esther Parkin is located close to the centre of campus, amongst some of the student accommodation.

It is close to many of the main teaching spaces and campus amenities, like the cafes and shops.

We are unable to take card payments for bookings over the phone, all reservations must be made and paid for online.
