We offer accommodation on the University campus, or in Bath city centre. Bookings for summer 2024 open on 1 February.

Stay in our accommodation

You can book rooms in our campus or city centre accommodation to stay in July and August. Bookings for summer 2024 open on 1 February.

City centre accommodation

Stay in the heart of the beautiful city of Bath at Green Park House, located right by all the main attractions, shops, restaurants and more.

Our guest accommodation on campus and in the city is available for stays throughout July and August.

City accommodation must be booked for a minimum of two nights if staying on a Friday. Apartments must be booked for a minimum of two nights at any time.

We have relaxed our cancellation policy, if you book directly with us, to allow for cancellation with a full refund up to seven days before your stay.

Campus accommodation

Our Polden accommodation sits within our rural Claverton Down campus.

The campus has plenty of green space to relax and explore, but is also just a short bus ride or walk to the city centre.


Book a basic room on campus

Book one of our basic rooms with a 3/4 double bed from just £74 a night, including a continental breakfast.

From just £74 a night, you'll have:

  • a bedroom with a small four foot wide 3/4 double bed
  • en-suite shower facilities
  • a continental breakfast served in CAFE at Polden
  • free car parking

Book a single studio in the city centre

From £70 a night you'll have a bedroom with: - a 3/4 double bed - en-suite shower facilities - kitchenette - basic cooking equipment and utensils

Our city centre accommodation is located right in the heart of beautiful Bath, with all the main attractions, shops, restaurants and nightlife just a few minutes walk away.

Green Park House does not have car parking. The closest long stay car parks are located a five minute walk away, at Charlotte Street and Avon Street.

Rooms in Green Park House must be booked for a minimum of two nights if staying on a Friday.


Book a self-catered apartment in the city centre

These all contain small four foot wide 3/4 double beds and a shared kitchen/diner exclusively for your use.


Our apartments are available with:

  • Two bedrooms
  • Five bedrooms
  • Six bedrooms
  • Seven bedrooms

Apartments in Green Park House must be booked for a minimum of two nights, with the exception of two bed apartments which only require a minimum of two nights at the weekend.

Our kitchens are equipped with:

  • fridge-freezer
  • microwave
  • oven
  • dining table and chairs (excluding two bedroom apartments)
  • basic cooking equipment and utensils

Travel cots are available on request, subject to availability, depending on space.

Occupancy

All bedrooms in our five, six and seven bed apartments are designed for single occupancy, which you must not exceed without telling us. We reserve the right to conduct checks.

If you would like an extra person to stay in the room, contact us so we can arrange it for you, at an additional charge of £20 per night.

Food and drink

We have a range of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars on campus. View the opening times here.

Our campus supermarket sells a range of snacks, toiletries and stationery that you may need for your stay.

Towels and toiletries

We provide towels, but no toiletries are supplied in any of our accommodation, make sure you bring your own or visit our campus shop.

Cleaning service

If you are staying in one of our basic rooms for more than three nights, we will clean your room and provide a linen change.

We will clean the communal areas and remove waste/recycling daily.

University of Bath discounts

  • If you are a member of staff or University of Bath alumni, you can receive a 10% discount when booking a room in our guest accommodation for yourself, a family member or friend.
  • To receive this discount please call our guest accommodation team on 01225 383441 to book directly.
  • Discounts do not apply to group accommodation bookings including self-catered group and family accommodation.
  • Discounts do not apply at weekends and are subject to availability during the week (Sunday to Thursday).

No-show policy

If you do not check in on your scheduled day of arrival, or of you cancel after the specified cut off time, we reserve the right to cancel any remaining nights of your booking unless you request otherwise. You will still be charged for the full amount of your stay.

Data protection

The data that you provide will be used for recording your payment and may be used to contact you about your booking. The University is compliant with PCI DSS regulations. We may also ask for your feedback and we will use your responses to improve our service in the future. We will keep all your information secure in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and all other relevant data protection legislation. We will not pass on your information to anyone else. By continuing with your application you consent to us using the information you provide to us as described above.

Accommodation for University visitors

We have self-catering accommodation for visiting academics on the north side of the Claverton Down campus.


If you are a visiting academic with a family, you can stay in one of the five self-contained residences in Esther Parkin on a short-term basis. Esther Parkin is located close to the centre of campus, amongst some of the student accommodation. It is close to many of the main teaching spaces and campus amenities, like the cafes, shops and banks.
