Choosing University accommodation gives you more than just a room. It's our goal to make student accommodation feel like home, by creating a sense of community within our accommodation. This can help you to create lifelong memories, and lasting relationships with your housemates.
The options available to you will vary based on your course and level of study.
We’ll do our best to place you in your preferred room type, but we cannot guarantee this.
If you are an eligible overseas postgraduate student and apply by the 17 June 2021 deadline, you are guaranteed accommodation.
If you are a postgraduate from the UK we cannot guarantee you accommodation, but you can apply to go on our waiting list.
You will need to select eight room type preferences on your application.
If you have a disability or medical condition
Make sure you tell us so that we can consider your needs when looking at accommodation applications.
When doing your application, you can request to live in mixed or single-sex accommodation.
We are committed to providing a safe and happy environment for students to live in, whatever their choice of accommodation. We value diversity and inclusivity, and want everyone to be treated with respect.
For example, we can help you if you:
- are trans and/or gender diverse; we may be able to place you in an en-suite bedroom or a studio
- are non-binary or intersex; we can look at allocating you to a mixed-gender flat
- have cultural or religious dietary needs; we have a limited number of kitchenette rooms available
To speak to someone about applying under these circumstances, contact our Student Living team at email@example.com. The team is available to support you through every step of your move to University accommodation.
