Paying your student accommodation fees
When and how you can accept your accommodation contract and pay your fees.
When to pay your fees
We will email you with an offer of accommodation. Once you receive this you can accept your contract and pay your fees at the same time. You can check your balance online.
Your acceptance of your accommodation contract is only valid if you supply payment details. You cannot accept without them.
How to pay your fees
We recommend that you pay by Direct Debit, but you may also pay:
- by credit card
- by debit card
- by bank transfer
- using Flywire (for international payments)
- in person
Depending on your method of payment, you can choose to pay your fees in full or in instalments.
As an undergraduate student, if you do not pay your fees in full you will pay them in three instalments.
As a postgraduate student, if you do not pay your fees in full you will pay them in four instalments.

Accommodation contracts and changes
If you haven’t come to University yet, you can choose not to start your accommodation contract up until 31 October 2020. Until this date, you do not have to pay unless you are living in your room.
From 1 November 2020 you need to start paying for your accommodation if you want the University to reserve your room, even if you have not moved to Bath.
If you are not able to take up your room by 31 October and do not want to pay for it, you can choose to give it up and reapply for a place in accommodation from 1 January 2021.
You can leave your accommodation and be released from your contract until 31 October 2020.
