Who can use this section?
University of Bath Computing Services (BUCS) offers a variety of software. This section can be used by any staff or students who need access to software.
Software licences
BUCS manages a variety of software agreements which are made available to the various parts of the University depending on the type of agreement (e.g. campus-wide use) and funding model (e.g. available free to all users; reduced cost for university authorised purchasers). In addition a few software agreements have been taken out by individual departments with usage rights for the whole University.

A tool to download University software over the internet. This tool checks the username against the LDAP database: the basic principle of access is "If you can see it, you have the right use it".
