Centre for 21st Century Public Health statement on funding sources

This statement explains how we manage our funding.

Factsheet

The University of Bath has procedures in place to manage research funding and is committed to ensuring its research is conducted in line with the code on Academic freedom and corresponding responsibilities and the code of good practice in research integrity.

The Centre for 21st Century Public Health (C21PH) upholds these standards and works with the University’s Research and Impact Services to ensure that grant agreements are screened to preserve academic freedom. Through these routes, the University and C21PH work collectively to uphold the highest standards of research integrity. These include a commitment to transparency and ensuring that those funding C21PH’s research play no role in that research.

In addition, C21PH does not accept funding from tobacco companies or other commercial organisations whose interests are not aligned with improved public health.

You can find details of our current and recent research projects and funders on our website. All published reports and papers include details of who funded the research.
