Level 1: Archives and Older Journal Stock
 
 
All pre-1985 journal issues are on this floor, as well as some special collections like the newspaper collection and the History of Medicine. The whole floor is a quiet study area. 
 
 
 
Level 2: Entrance level
 
The Issue Desk, Information Point, Inter-library Loans Office, Periodicals Office and Copy and Print department are all on this floor.  You will also find the Audio-Visual and Computing Services helpdesks, Newspapers, DVDs, networked computers and Library Catalogue terminals. A group study room is available at the back of the floor.
 
 
 
Level 3: Engineering & Design with Literature
 
Books and periodicals covering architecture and design; civil, mechanical, electrical, electronic and chemical engineering; materials science; history of art; decorative and graphical arts; foreign and English literature. Networked computers and Library Catalogue terminals. Assistive Technology Room. The whole floor is a quiet study area.
 
 
 
Level 4: Science, Medicine and Sport
 
Books and periodicals covering agriculture, biological sciences, chemistry, food science, general science, geosciences, physics, astronomy, mathematical sciences, computing, pharmacy, pharmacology, medical sciences, sport and exercise science. Networked computers and Library Catalogue terminals. The whole floor is a quiet study area.  Group Study areas are available at the front of this Level in the PC area.
 
 
 
Level 5: Social Sciences, Management & Languages
 
Books and periodicals covering economics, education, film studies, social sciences, history, languages, law, management, music, psychology, politics, religion, social policy and sociology.  Also European Documentation Centre. Networked computers and Library Catalogue terminals. The whole floor is a silent study area.
