Our undergraduate MEng programmes will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to build a successful career in engineering.

Why Mechanical Engineering?

There is little in life that doesn’t rely on mechanical engineering. Whether it is your mp3 player or the car that you drive, mechanical engineering supports a whole host of industries from medicine to manufacture, renewable energy to Formula 1.

Our teaching is delivered by experienced academic staff, all of whom are at the top of their field.

Our programmes follow a common first two years after which you can choose from a variety of areas in which to specialise, whether to focus on a particular area of interest or widen your horizons to business and management.

Our teaching methods largely centre on the practical application of engineering theory. Individual and group project work in years 3 and 4 allow you to apply your academic knowledge to real life industrially relevant problems as well as sharpen your analytical, presentation and communication skills.
