Studying abroad as part of your undergraduate degree

Take the option to study at one of our partner universities for one or two semesters and get valuable international experience.

Experience a different culture and study environment

Studying abroad can offer you a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

While studying at Bath, there are opportunities within most courses to undertake a study period abroad. The University has excellent partners in a variety of countries across the globe including Europe, Australia, Asia, Latin America, Canada, and the United States. Taking semesters abroad means you'll get an understanding of what it’s like to study at another university. It's also a great opportunity for you to travel and embrace a new culture while studying for your degree.

Improve your career opportunities

Living and studying in a different country can make you more employable.

As well as developing your language skills, studying in a different environment can help you improve your problem solving and communication skills, and give you a better understanding of the world. Having this kind of experience and developing these skills can make you more appealing to employers in increasingly globalised industries.

Improve your language skills and make new friends

There's no better way to learn a new language than in a place where it's spoken.

You can take language courses provided by the partner university where you choose to study and have the chance to make new friends from different backgrounds and cultures.
