The International Relations Office had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the University of Macau on Tuesday 25th April 2023. Due to the pandemic hindering international mobility, Bath's last visit to the University of Macau took place in 2019 so this visit was a great opportunity to reignite conversations about possible student exchange and new research collaboration opportunities.

The University of Macau delegation was led by the Dean of the Honours College and MBA Programme Director Prof Rose Neng Lai and included the Associate Dean (Research and Development) for the Faculty of Business Prof Raymond Chi Ho Loi, Head of Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management Prof Li Miao, and Senior Administrative Assistant Ms Pamela Lam.

The primary objective of the visit was to explore potential student mobility, Executive MBA programme exchanges and research collaboration between the University of Macau’s Faculty of Business Administration and Bath’s School of Management. Representatives from the School of Management and the International Relations Office included Benjamin Smith (Head of Placements, Projects and International Studies), Matt Rusling (Head of Postgraduate Personal Development & External Engagement), Clare Woolfe (International Relations Manager) and Jessica Carwardine (International Partnerships Manager, Research). The visitors also met with academics from the Department of Economics, the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Science to discuss potential student mobility opportunities between Bath and the University of Macau's Honours College.

During the visit, the University of Macau presented the University with an Honours College plaque and framed print.
