Kith & Kin: the Quilts of Gee's Bend Exhibition at the American Museum

Thursday 18th June, 10am

The Kith and Kin exhibition celebrates the extraordinary work of a group of African American women from a remote river island community in Alabama and a 200-year tradition of making quilts that hold both profound artistic and political significance.

Join Hannah (Student Support) and Louisa (BSN ambassador) to visit this exhibition for free. You’ll also get free access to the beautiful gardens of the American museum and a free hot drink from the cafe.

BSN Career Conversations: Iyanu Joseph

Join our online Career Conversations series spotlighting Black Bath alumni and their diverse career journeys. Hear honest reflections, practical advice, and take part in a live Q&A.

Our July speaker, Iyanu Joseph (BSc International Development with Economics, 2023), is a social impact professional with experience in education, community investment, consulting, and impact evaluation. At Bath, she was Welfare & Inclusivity Officer for ACS and later Relationships Project Manager for One Young World Bath. Since graduating, she has completed an internship with One Young World, an MA at UCL, and worked across venture capital, youth programmes, HR, and corporate social responsibility—most recently leading community volunteering initiatives at Heathrow.
