Kith & Kin: the Quilts of Gee's Bend Exhibition at the American Museum
Thursday 18th June, 10am
The Kith and Kin exhibition celebrates the extraordinary work of a group of African American women from a remote river island community in Alabama and a 200-year tradition of making quilts that hold both profound artistic and political significance.
Join Hannah (Student Support) and Louisa (BSN ambassador) to visit this exhibition for free. You’ll also get free access to the beautiful gardens of the American museum and a free hot drink from the cafe.

Iyanu Joseph Friday 3rd July, 12-1pm
Iyanu Joseph (BSc International Development with Economics, 2023) is a social impact professional with experience in education, community investment, consulting, and impact evaluation. At Bath, she was Welfare & Inclusivity Officer for ACS and later Relationships Project Manager for One Young World Bath. Since graduating, she has completed an internship with One Young World, an MA at UCL, and worked across venture capital, youth programmes, HR, and corporate social responsibility—most recently leading community volunteering initiatives at Heathrow.

Timi Folaranmi Monday 13th July, 12-1pm
Timi is a Data Scientist specialising in AI, machine learning engineering, and LLM-powered automation, with experience spanning private equity, quantitative research, and financial markets. Before entering the work place Timi graduated from Bath in 2023 with a BSc in Economics & Mathematics, Nottingham with a MSc in Statistics and undertook various internships across trading, quantitative research, and data-focused roles. Join Timi as he shares his experiences of the finance and tech industry, the transition from academia to full-time work, balancing work with his many fitness interests and how he applies his studies to real world problems.
