The Daily Mail University Guide for 2026 has ranked the University of Bath 11th out of 128 UK institutions, highlighting the excellence of its courses in AI, psychology, and aerospace engineering, and its strong record on graduate achievement and employability.

The Guide also rated the University 6th out of the 128 institutions for graduates securing high-skilled jobs and 10th in the UK for graduate salaries, averaging £33,000. It also noted that Bath ranked 4th in terms of students completing their first year and 7th for those achieving First and 2:1 degrees.

The Guide said the University offered the best courses in the UK for AI and aerospace engineering of the 34 comparable courses offered nationwide in both disciplines. Psychology topped the ranking of 95 comparable courses in the UK.

These programmes and many others at Bath, offer students the chance to learn in a world-class research environment, working across disciplines and alongside internationally recognised researchers who are pushing the boundaries of knowledge and innovation. Graduates leave equipped with the technical expertise, critical thinking and real-world experience needed to shape the future of their professions.

Bath’s BSc Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence empowers students to become pioneering computing professionals through advanced study of AI, software development and experimentation. The BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering equips graduates with specialist expertise in aerospace design, analysis and systems engineering, while the BSc (Hons) Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society, prepares students for a wide range of careers in behavioural science, healthcare, education and research.

The Guide noted also that courses in civil engineering, French, German and Scandinavian studies, Iberian studies, and social policy all ranked second in the UK, while computer science, marketing, politics, chemical engineering, pharmacology and production engineering were in the top five. Accounting, biomedical sciences, pharmacy, sociology, biology, economics and mathematical sciences were among the top 10 courses in the UK.
