Economics at the University of Bath has been ranked ninth in both The Guardian University Guide 2018 and The Complete University Guide 2018.

For career after six months, Economics at Bath is first in The Guardian University Guide and second for graduate prospects in The Complete University Guide.

Speaking about this success, Professor John Hudson commented: "Economics is a highly competitive discipline with departments in virtually all the top universities.

These rankings are a testimony both to the quality of our students and graduates, and to the quality of our staff and the worldwide reputation for excellence they enjoy."

Nearly two thirds of our students undertake a valuable work placement as part of their degree, which helps to produce outstanding graduate employment figures.

Our high-achieving students are much sought after by leading graduate employers, with most of our students securing employment or pursuing further study six months after graduating.

"The exceptional academic and personal qualities that we have come to associate with students from the University of Bath: their passion to learn and develop; their willingness to question and challenge; their commitment and work ethic, ensures that they become a valuable asset to the business and are complementary to our permanent workforce."
