The installation of the water pipe, and associated excavation work, is part of enabling works for the R7 Student Accommodation Project.

We anticipate that there will be some shift in the programme due to the nature of the works.

Phases

The works will be undertaken in various locations in the East Car Park.

Phase 1A

22 to 29 October: Starting from the R7 Construction site entrance to the South edge of the Coach and Lorry bays.

Phase 1B

31 October to 1 November: Outside the R7 construction site entrance.

Phase 2

22 to 29 October (excluding Wednesday 28 PM): Across one side of the Coach and Lorry Bays towards The Quads.

Phase 3

29 October to 2 November: From the North edge of the Coach and Lorry bays to the entrance of The Quads (Chestnut).

A traffic management plan will be in place during the works to maintain access to available car parking spaces.

From 30 October to 2 November, four disabled parking spaces located outside The Quads (Chestnut) will be closed.

Each phase will contain different traffic management systems to direct the flow of traffic around the works.
