Over the past few years, Student Support has run a Black Students’ Network offering a range of workshops designed to empower and uplift its members. These workshops include sessions on stress management, intentional boundaries, dealing with imposter syndrome, journaling and hair braiding and cornrowing.

This summer we are reviewing the Network, and inviting Black students of all backgrounds – whether you identify as Black British, African, Caribbean, or from across the diaspora – to tell us what, if anything, you would like to see from this network in the future. This project is being led by Hannah Moore (Student Support) and Gloria Alamu (Student Support / Health Psychology Student). There are several ways you as students can get involved and be paid for your time.

There’s no pressure or expectations, just an open invitation to help shape what this network support looks like going forward (if anything at all).

If you’re interested, you can also read more about how the Network began and our 2024-25 programme of events.

We can’t wait to hear from you!
